The NavigAbile eTen project consortium invites you to a symposium on "Applications of IT for people with learning and communication disabilities". The symposium takes place on the 15th of September 2008, 09:30, in TITANIA Hotel in Athens with distinguished speakers from across Europe. Registrations are open to all.
The workshop aims to indicate that communication and learning must be considered as a pleasant and entertaining activity. Greece, Great Britain, Spain, Sweden and Italy will be presenting case studies and different initiatives which all share the same idea : Communication and learning is fun!
Speakers will discuss their experiences; the difficulties currently encountered; and seek the ingredients for successful collaborations and long term results. Is Information Technology the only ingredient? Is special education? Therapy and endorsement? Previous work and initiatives will be presented by experts who have wide experience in the field of mental disabilities. All speeches will be lively translated from English to Greek and vice versa.
The symposium is open to all audiences with interest in learning and communication disabilities.
